Our Mission
The Irvine Child Development Center is organized and operated by a non-profit, non-sectarian, public benefit corporation. There is a volunteer Board of Directors made up of Parent and Community members. Our goal is the development of the whole child through:
Emotional Growth: To help the child learn to recognize his or her own feelings and to develop a sturdy and positive self-concept, confidence, emotional balance and control.
Social Growth: To help each child gain understanding, respect and empathy for others; learn to share; become a constructive, contributing member of groups and to function independently as well.
Cognitive Growth: To stimulate each child's natural curiosity and sense of wonder; to develop an understanding of concepts and an ability to communicate and question; and foster a sense of pleasure and excitement in learning.
Creative Growth: To stimulate and develop each child's self-expression, imagination and ability to discover new solutions to problems.
Physical Growth: To develop an awareness and enjoyment of individual physical capacities and an appreciation of a healthy body.
Testimonial
"The teachers are highly trained in child development but most importantly, you can tell they love their work and the children they care for. He loves attending ICDC and most of the time, doesn't want to leave when I pick him up! I was looking for a center that prioritized a caring and loving environment alongside a true focus on child development, and I found it in ICDC."
